Everything you want from a princess story. Handsome hero, strong, brave princess, intrigue. Jeannie Moon wrote a fabulous novella, and I promise you will never read more elegant words written about a Twinkie!
I loved Until You and didn't think a story could be better, but Ian and Sofie completely captured my heart. Sofie is a princess who falls in love with commoner, Ian Stuart, but there is nothing common about Ian. He's the perfect match for Sofie. She gave him up once out of a sense of duty, but when her life is on the line and he's the agent assigned to protect her, she realizes that she can't give him up again. I love Ms. Moon's stories. Her heroes are the best!
Sofia and Ian met in college and fell in love. But he didn't know she was a princess. After her family came to get her, they told Ian that no matter how good of a man he was, he wasn't able to be with Sofia.
Eight long years later, Ian is in charge of Sofia's security detail on a visit to New York. She doesn't know he's involved yet. But there have been attempts by terrorists against the royal family and major unrest in her country. Ian was tasked with protecting her on her trip. Then things go bad, and he has to take her into hiding.
The sparks were still there after so long apart.
I loved Sofia. She was so independent and smart and very stubborn. Ian was a wonderful character as well. Very well trained and very hard working. I loved how they interacted through the entire story. It was a great story about second chances and rekindling old relationships.
Sofia is a princess who only wants to lead a normal life. She falls in love with Ian and they make love. She envisions a happy ever after, but that's not to be. Her mother, the Queen, arrives and tells her that she must do her royal duty for crown and country. Ian forces himself to let her go. His heart is broken. What happens when the meet eight years later is truly romantic. I loved these star-crossed lovers. Their chemistry is amazing. The proper princess and the dedicated FBI agent are from different worlds, but love and treachery bring them together. Ian is a true hero. He has always loved Sofia and put her first. I fell under his spell. Who wouldn't love a man who wants to be there for his woman? The story was exciting and passionate. I loved the romance and wanted to know who was behind the threats against Sofia and her family. Jeannie Moon has an easy writing style that I love. His Forbidden Princess was a great suspenseful romance.
First, thank you Jeannie Moon for writing this book, second, Tull Publishing, for publishing the book, and third, to NetGalley the availability of this book, I absolutely loved it. I loved it so much I bought a copy for my library, again, thank you.

This book is sort of a reverse Cinderella or what you might say Ian-nella. The book started out while both Ian and Sophia were at Cambridge University eight years ago. Sophia never told Ian who she really was, a princess. He fell in love with her anyway and she with him. When Ian finds out who she really is even though he loves her he breaks it off, thinking he is not good enough for her.

Eight years later while Sophia is visiting the US, there is terrorist attack on the rest of her family. Thankfully, the attempt is unsuccessfully and they go into hiding.

In steps, Special Agent Ian Stewart who heads voluntarily, her protection detail. He takes her into protective custody; he however does not take her to a safe house. She finds out that some of people close to her are not so loyal at all, which hurts her.

This is a wonderful story for a second chance at love, a love that never died for either of them. I love the way the author Jeannie Moon writes the story in such a believable way. The way she writes it brings you into the story in such a phenomenal way. When I started the story I did not know it was part of a series now that I do I am going to go find the rest of these books. I have found another great author to follow in Jeanie Moon. Jeannie, you are a phenomenal writer.

Again, thank you Tull Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of this book I loved it!

Thank you for reading my review I hope you enjoy this book half as much as I did.
It's sometimes hard to tell on , but this seemed a very short read His Forbidden Princess by Jeannie Moon. A short read and a good read. It's about a princess and a commoner - and an American, at that - who, eight years ago, met as students at Cambridge University, and fell in love, and broke up. That old thorn of "royal obligations versus personal choices" rearing up again.

Today, Princess Sofia of the tiny European kingdom of Aubonne is 29-years-old and is a little more worldy. She once was second in line for the throne which makes her a target for rebel factions that have terrorized the royal family for almost a decade. One assault has already cost the life of Sofia's elder brother, with the rebels vowing further violence, further fatalities if their ultimatum to oust the royal family isn't met.

Sofia, now the Crown Princess and heir to the throne, was in the United States when reports of the latest round of attacks came. And here's an odd wrinkle Sofia just happens to be under the protective custody of former Army Ranger, now FBI Special Agent Ian Stuart. Yep, that Ian.

Coming from a manly man's perspective, I had my fingers crossed that this would be an action-packed read. But it wasn't, not until the last few pages anyway. I guess I forgot that I'd stepped into the swoony romance genre. This is a star-crossed love story that just may get uncrossed before it's all over. This story is more novella than a full-blown novel, and yet the author was able to flesh out Ian and Sofia enough that they don't come across as like beautiful vacuous figures posed on the cover of a Harlequin novel - or on the cover of this novel. Given, their romance plays out in expected ways as Ian and Sofia get to know each other all over again and maybe - there's no maybe about it - they rekindle that old time feeling. And things do get sweaty - for those who count that as a must in their romance reads - and not because they're busy ducking bullets. 3 out of 5 stars for this one. Not bad, but lightweight.
